About me
Hey — I'm Chuck. I'm a guy in my late 30s who got sucked into the world of AI and automation and never looked back. I spend most of my time tinkering with local LLMs, building tools that save me time, and writing about what I learn along the way.
I'm not a researcher or a PhD. I'm just someone who likes to open things up and see how they work. I believe the best way to learn is by building, breaking, and then building again. My projects tend to live somewhere between “useful tool” and “experiment nobody asked for.”
What I'm into
- Local LLMs — Running models on my own hardware. Privacy matters, and there's something satisfying about self-hosting your own AI.
- Automation — If I do something twice, I write a script. If I do it three times, I build a system.
- Open source — I believe in building in the open. Most of what I make ends up shared.
- The command line — GUIs are fine. The terminal is home.
Why this site
I wanted a place to write about the things I'm learning and building. Twitter threads are fine for hot takes, but some ideas need more room. This blog is where I put the longer thoughts — tutorials, opinions, and the occasional rant about technology.
